Ultimate Notifier has been retired as of March 1st 2014
It's been a tough decision, but we're very sad to announce that we will shortly be retiring Ultimate Notifier.
More and more of our features find themselves implemented either in iOS, or by the core providers of the services we support. This, coupled with a change in circumstances means we find it harder and harder to offer the service our users deserve. Rather than breaking our promise of not charging ongoing fees, or doing things really badly we've decided its time to admit enough is enough.
We will still offer the service until June to allow time for our users to migrate to another service, but we have removed the app from App Store with immediate effect.
If you're looking for a replacement, the iPhone supports POP, IMAP, Hotmail and Yahoo natively (Apple's tutorial shows how) and it's much, much better than it was when we started the Ultimate Notifier project. Google now have an excellent Gmail app. Check out Prowl, PushOver or Boxcar for features like mail forwarding addresses and feeds. For developers, Parse is awesome if you need an API for sending notifications.
Don't worry, your data will be safe, after the service is retired, all data will be wiped. We will not, under any circumstances, sell or otherwise distribute any of your personal data. Ever.
It was good while it lasted, and we're very sorry to have to do this.
Thanks for everything.
